Perception

Well children, Betty is terrible at asking for help, but its time.
While chronicling our Haitian adventure, please remember mine is but one perception of events during our ten days abroad. There are 9 other views in regards to every moment of every day. Although I am doing my best using the 2 hours a night of notes I kept, I am positive there are situations and personal feelings I am missing. For that I apologize. There are those who will be forever changed by this adventure and to them as a returning missionary I say; Have faith.
So please dearies, enjoy, use your imagination and know that we ALL walked through this adventure with God by our side and love in our hearts.
More entries to come…..
Much love,
Betty…

  1. Betty, your accounts of the whole trip are accurate from my stand point, we all share your posts and can add our own little comments of our personal feelings and memories πŸ™‚

  2. Betty, I have turned so many of my friends and family on to you! Very good blog, but a little incomplete. People know how you feel, but I don’t think they know what it’s like having Captain James Franceschi on the team. To me it was like having MacGyver on the team…our own personal super hero 24-7. Nobody could anticipate everything that could happen in a foreign country, much less one of the poorest countries in the world. When there was a “situation”…which was daily in Haiti…even if you only had a paper clip and a rubber band…you’d come through. It was pretty amazing and comforting. Every team leader (Jacy was the best) should have a MacGyver.

    1. Wow, MacGyver! Just think, with MacGyver and James Bond if we put the A Team in there not a mission team in the world could stop us! “I love it when a plan comes together”!
Thank you Brent for those kind, humbling words. I am glad you enjoy the blog and thank you for trusting me enough to share. πŸ™‚

  3. Your words are as accurate as if you were in my head. It was an honor to be on a trip with 007 and MacGyver – I felt safe, protected, and cared for. 3 qualities most people on La Gonave have never felt in their life. Thank you. I especially like your reference to our bowel movements in your blog……oh my!

      1. Ugh – Baby wipes – I had tons and tons of baby wipes. I’m anxious to read your next post – as if I don’t know what will happen next.
