I am a married father of 4 (not what you expected) who obtained the nickname “Betty” (after Betty Rubble) from both my laugh and my ability to keep house while all are away at school and work.
I am not a stay at home dad, although somedays I feel like one. My schedule is very flexible which allows me to be an active participant and father to my four children. I feel as though I have a very unique incite to my kids and parenting in general.
This blog is dedicated to all the fathers who stay home, clean house, do laundry, pick up their kids from school, juggle after school sports, handle the household finances, make dinner and are basically overlooked by todays “women do it all” and “men are portrayed as dumb and lazy” society.
Hi, I’ve nominated you for the Versatile Blogger award – I’m sure you’ve been nominated before, don’t feel obliged to do anything more than just accept it as a compliment! Details here: http://vanessa-chapman.com/2012/03/13/the-versatile-blogger-award/
Thank you Vanessa, I am humbled by your nomination. I will do my best to follow the rules of the nomination. Once again thank you for the sentiment.
No problem – it was a bigger task to follow the rules than I imagined, but I’m sure I anguished over who to pick much more than I needed to!
You’ve been nominated! Check it out: http://stayathometatte.wordpress.com/2012/03/19/award-innundation/
You are a brave man, Betty. -kate
Thank you Kate!
Betty, you have always amazed me at what you are able to do for your family, friends, church and community. Thanks for making me think more often than I want to sometimes. To answer your question about what I am proud of…… I am very proud of being married for 19 years to the same guy and having a great teenage son.
Thank you so much for the kind words. And yes, you should be very proud of the two wonderful men you have in you life!
